About
I started dancing when I was four years old. My mom likes to say “You came out the womb dancing”, because anytime I heard music my feet would stomp and I would just dance. I began taking classes From Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Jazz and soon joined a Cheerleading team. Over the years, my passion and love for the dance art became stronger and stronger. While on the Cheerleading team, I became one of the choreographers for our first big competition at Jamz Nationals. I had no experience in choreographing, but my coaches and team trusted me on the road to nationals. In addition, I realized that I could really do something with my talent. Moreover, I joined a dance team called “ The Minions Dance Team” and the school Dance program in high school and became captain for both after my first year. This team and class inspired me to share my passion with other dancers that felt the same way about dance. My co-Captain and I got together and really worked hard to get our team to perform at any event we could. Because of this, I realized that I wanted to do something with dance professionally in the future. Being able to impact others in a positive way through dance is something I knew I was capable of doing.
Knowing that I wanted to really get involved in the Entertainment Industry, I knew that I had to really have a purpose on why I was so determined to continue my dance career. With this in mind, I noticed that I can speak through dance. You can express yourself and tell a story in so many different styles, by just using your body. Dance has always been there for so many people, including me when things got tough. I want to be able to open a studio so dancers have that safe place to express themselves. I want to show dancers that no matter your size, race, religion, sexual orientation, there is a place for you.
